Subscriptions & Billing

What a Subscription Is and How It Works

A subscription at Verge is designed to support ongoing telehealth treatment. Rather than placing one-time orders, a subscription provides a structured way to receive medication refills with continued provider oversight.

What a Subscription Provides

When you have a subscription, you get:

  • Ongoing medication refills — Your treatment continues without needing to start from scratch each time

  • Provider review at each refill — A licensed provider evaluates your progress before each refill is approved

  • Continued support — Access to messaging and clinical guidance throughout your treatment

  • Dose adjustments when appropriate — Your provider can modify your dose based on how you respond

How Subscriptions Differ From One-Time Orders

With a one-time order, you complete the intake process, receive approval, and get your medication once. If you want more, you start over.

With a subscription, your treatment is managed as an ongoing process. Each refill is tied to a medical review, and your care is adjusted as needed.

No Auto-Renewals, No Long-Term Contracts

Verge does not lock you into auto-renewals or long-term commitments. Key points:

  • You are not automatically charged on a schedule

  • There are no long-term contracts or commitments

  • You can modify or cancel your plan at any time

  • You are free to pause or stop treatment if your needs change

For detailed information on how to manage or cancel your subscription, see the article on How Subscription Timing Works.

How the Refill Cycle Works

Each time you request a refill, the process follows the same core steps:

1

You Initiate a Refill

You request your next shipment through your account when you're ready for more medication.

2

Provider Review

A licensed medical provider reviews your current status, progress, and any updates you provide. They evaluate:

  • How you've responded to treatment

  • Any side effects or concerns

  • Whether your current dose is still appropriate

3

Approval & Dose Adjustment

If approved, your prescription is updated if needed and sent to the pharmacy. Your dose may be adjusted based on your progress.

4

Pharmacy Preparation

The pharmacy prepares your medication. Because compounded medications are made to order, preparation takes time.

5

Shipping

Once ready, your medication ships directly to your door. Most orders arrive within 7–10 business days from approval.

For the complete order process, see How the Process Works.

Why Ongoing Prescription Is Required

GLP-1 medications and other compounded treatments are prescription-only. This means:

  • Each refill requires a new medical review by a licensed provider

  • Your prescription cannot be automatically refilled without evaluation

  • Medication is prepared specifically for you after approval

This ensures your treatment remains safe and appropriate for your current health status.

What You Control

While providers manage the medical side, you control the timing:

  • When to refill — You decide when to request your next shipment

  • When to pause or stop — You can cancel your subscription at any time

  • When to communicate — You can message your care team with questions or concerns

Summary

A subscription at Verge provides structured, ongoing access to telehealth treatment with provider oversight at each refill. You receive medication refills, clinical review, and continued support — without auto-renewals or long-term contracts. You can modify or cancel your plan at any time.
