Before You Order: What to Know
Before placing your first order, it's important to understand how the process works, what's required, and what to expect. This guide covers the key things you need to know before getting started.
Approval Is Not Guaranteed
Treatment is prescribed by licensed medical providers, not automated systems. After you complete your medical intake, a provider reviews your information to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you.
Not everyone is approved. Providers make decisions based on clinical guidelines, your medical history, and eligibility requirements. If you're not approved, you will not be charged.
How Billing Works: Authorization vs. Charge
When you place an order, a temporary pending charge is placed on your card. This is an authorization hold, not an actual charge.
If approved: The pending amount is captured and your payment is processed.
If not approved: The authorization automatically falls off your account. You are not billed.
The pending hold typically releases within a few business days, depending on your bank. You are only ever charged if a provider approves your treatment.
What You'll Need to Provide
Before a provider can review your case, you must complete required intake documentation. This typically includes:
Medical intake form — Your health history, current medications, and treatment goals
Clinical difference form — Additional clinical information (for GLP-1 programs)
Form of identification — Government-issued ID for verification
Informed consent for telehealth — Required consent for virtual care
These forms are submitted through your patient portal after checkout. Your order cannot move forward until all required documentation is complete.
Eligibility and State Availability
Verge serves customers in all 50 states, but treatment options vary based on state-specific regulations and clinical eligibility.
Some programs have additional requirements. For example, weight loss programs typically require a qualifying BMI and may involve clinical review of your height and weight. Testosterone therapy may require lab work before approval in some states.
Eligibility is determined by licensed providers based on your individual health profile.
No Refunds After Approval
Once your treatment is approved and your prescription is sent to the pharmacy, orders cannot be returned or refunded.
This is due to regulatory and safety restrictions on prescription medications. Compounded medications are prepared specifically for you and cannot be restocked or resold.
Make sure you're ready to proceed before placing your order. If you have questions about a treatment, contact support before checkout.
Timeline Expectations
From approval to delivery, most orders arrive within 7–10 business days.
This timeline includes:
Medical review and approval
Pharmacy preparation (compounded medications are made to order)
Shipping transit time
First-time orders may take slightly longer than refills. Processing times can also vary based on pharmacy volume and medication demand.
For a complete breakdown of each step, see How the Process Works.
What to Expect With Compounded Medications
Some treatments offered through Verge are compounded medications prepared by FDA-registered, state-licensed pharmacies.
Compounded medications are:
Made to order based on your prescription
Not FDA-approved (they are customized formulations)
Prepared under pharmacy-compounding standards
If your treatment is compounded, your provider and pharmacy follow strict quality and safety protocols. Your medication is prepared specifically for you after approval.
Self-Pay Pricing
Verge is a self-pay platform. Insurance is not required or accepted. Pricing is transparent and flat — you pay the advertised price with no hidden fees, membership fees, or auto-renewals.
Most programs are billed monthly or as upfront multi-month plans. You can cancel or modify your plan at any time. There are no long-term contracts.
